Situated in the Dolomites - UNESCO World Natural Heritage, the Lake Carezza has an emerald green colour and is surrounded by the peaks of the Catinaccio and Latemar mountains. These reflects themselves in its crystalline water, owning its nickname as the “Rainbow Lake” and known as the location of many legends.

The lake has been the scene of numerous South Tyrol legends, among which the most famous is the legend of Ondina, the beautiful nymph who lived in the depths of Lake Carezza and whose sweet voice bewitched all those who crossed the Costalunga Pass.
