Eight weeks of filming in Madrid and the Basque Country have come to a close on Miamor Perdido, the new comedy (with a classic and romantic flavour, in harmony with Amo tu cama rica, 1991) by Emilio Martínez-Lázaro, responsible for successes such as Spanish Affair [+see also:

and Spanish Affair 2 [+see also:

. The protagonist of these blockbusters, Dani Rovira, has once again collaborated with the filmmaker on his new film, which also stars Michelle Jenner, Vito Sanz and María Hinojosa. The director stated that "the film was written with Dani in mind. A boy meets a girl: Michelle. And working with these two actors means enjoying the talent of two very gifted people."

With a screenplay by Miguel Esteban, Clara Martínez-Lázaro and his father, the film tells the story of how Mario (Rovira) and Olivia (Jenner) fall madly in love. One evening, just as every relationship inevitably comes to an end, they break up. During the break up, Miamor, their adopted street who only understands Valencian, runs off and disappears, just like the love that exists between the couple.

For a while Olivia considers both her love for Mario and their cat dead, while Mario keeps him alive in secret. Like Schrödinger's cat, the love between the two remains both dead and alive simultaenosuly, until one day when everything finally seems to have been resolved, Olivia feels deceived and declares war on Mario, a war in which, just like the love that survives between the couple, everything is at play.

Miamor Perdido is a production by Sony Pictures International Productions, Discontinuo La Película AIE, Impala S.A. (which also produced The Other Side of the Bed and its sequel in 2002 and 2005, by Martínez-Lázaro himself) and Caos Films S.L., with international support fromHalley Productionand in association with RTVE.
