Produced by Angelo Barbagallo for BiBi Film and by Laure Briand for Les Films d'Ici, the feature (the screenplay for which was written by the director) will tell a long, grand love story by means of memories, distorted to a greater or lesser extent by emotions, the passing of time and the differing points of view of the two young characters. Backed by Rai Cinema, the new Lazio region fund intended to support international co-productions, and the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities (MiBACT), Ricordi? will be released in France and sold overseas by Le Pacte, the company owned by Jean Labadie, which is also once again showing its interest in Italian productions (an affinity that is most obvious through the co-production and French distribution of films by Nanni Moretti and Matteo Garrone).

Les Films d'Ici has every confidence in the future career of Valerio Mieli, as it will also serve as executive producer on his subsequent film, Les Filles du temps, which will be shot entirely in Paris. A majority French production with Rome-based outfit Partner Media Investment, the project has already secured backing from the development support fund for the co-production of French-Italian cinematic works, helmed by the CNC and MiBACT. In addition, Laure Briand is also in negotiations to co-produce other films with Italy, partnering up with the regional funds of Piedmont and Apulia.
