Written by the director with contributions from Vincent Mariette, the story revolves around Michel and his brother Frank, who are partners in a small construction business. When Michel meets Michèle, an estate agent who has handed a huge building site over to them, it’s love at first sight. But in order to charm her, Michel must come to a compromise with Frank, whose scheming will soon jeopardise his plans to win her over...

Produced by Jérôme Barthélemy and Daniel Sauvage for Caïmans Productions (which is also taking its first steps into feature-film territory after producing a dozen shorts, including two by Guilhem Amesland), Superlovers has been pre-purchased by Ciné+ and France 4. Having also been backed by the Brittany region, the Procirep and the Angoa, the film (an Emergence-awarded project) is being shot until 10 February, with Jonathan Ricquebourg (who made a name for himself with his work on Eat Your Bones [+see also:
