This has translated into the best start of all time for a Belgian film, and thus it bested the first instalment, which “only” enticed 130,000 viewers. The movie, which was only released in Flanders and in one theatre in Brussels, attracted nearly half of the Flemish audiences this weekend, with this figure even reaching 75% of the viewers in certain theatres. Despite the beautiful weather over the All Saints weekend, the film benefited from a similarly sunny spell in theatres, where the autumn heavyweights have still not been released: Spectre [+see also:

As is the case towards the end of every year, Flemish producers and distributors are preparing to do battle, in order to capitalise on the traditional rise in attendance levels.
