, in which he stars, at the Sarajevo Open Air screening, along with the director and producers.

UK actress Katrin Cartlidge, whose credits include Naked, Before the Rain, Breaking the Waves, Topsy Turvy and Tanovic's Academy Award-winning No Man's Land, died suddenly in September 2002 at the age of 41. Shortly after her death, the Katrin Cartlidge Foundation was established in her memory.

It exists to encourage- in the form in the form of an annual endowment awarded to a new creative voice in cinema- the independence, singularity and integrity of spirit that Katrin Cartlidge powerfully embraced and exemplified in her own lifetime. For the last ten years, the Foundation has appointed a curator, selected from the eclectic friends and colleagues of both Katrin and the Foundation, who in turn chooses a recipient for the annual award.

Huston will present this year’s award on 21 August at Sarajevo's gala event.

Previous curators include actors Charlotte Rampling, Emily Watson, Jeremy Irons, Danny Glover and Stellan Skarsgard, directors Mike Leigh, Ken Loach, Simon McBurney and Tanović, as well as John Lyons, Annie Nocenti and photographer Juergen Teller.

Last year's recipients of the award were Palestinian filmmakers Abdel Salam Shehadeh and Ashraf Mashharawi.
