01/12/2014 - In the official competition, Titli, Melbourne and Life Feels Good got two awards each; Song of the Sea won in AnimaFICX, while No Land’s Song bagged Best Documentary

On Saturday 29 November, the award winners were announced at the 52nd edition of the Gijón International Film Festival; the trophies were handed out by a jury comprising Santiago Zannou, Alberto Ammann, Hebe Tabachnik, Natalia Verbeke and Cristóbal Arteaga. Titli, an Indian production directed by Kanu Behl, was the big winner, as it walked away with the Best Feature Film and Best Actress Awards (the latter for Shivani Raghuvanshi), followed by the Iranian title Melbourne, which won the Best Director and Best Script Awards, both of which ended up in the hands of Nima Javidi, as did the Young Jury Prize.
