The 10th edition of Italian Doc Screenings kicks off

From 9-12 October, the Doc/it, Association of Italian documentary filmmakers, will organise the 10th edition of Italian Doc Screenings, the most important international rendez-vous for the Italian documentary market that for the second consecutive year will take place in Palermo. Directed by Massimo Arvat, Raffaele Brunetti and Heidi Gronauer, and carried out with the support of the Sicilian Regional Department of Tourism, Sport and Entertainment, the festival is an opportunity for Italian and foreign producers, broadcasters, distributors and buyers to meet.

Aside from offering the best of Italian documentary productions to potential international buyers, the line-up forecasts training and refresher courses aimed at industry professionals, such as master classes, round tables and workshops. The line-up includes 1893. L’inchiesta (1893. The Inquiry), a documentary about the Sicilian workers' protest movement, directed by Nella Condorelli and edited by Giuseppe Tornatore, and Pussy Riot - A Punk Prayer [+see also:

The festival opens tomorrow with the Italian-Palestinian documentary that moved the audience of the 71st Venice Film Festival, Io sto con la sposa [+see also:
