Eurimages supports 23 co-productions

At its 135th meeting held from 16-20 June 2014 in Sarajevo, the Board of Management of the Council of Europe's Eurimages Fund agreed to support 20 projects of feature films, two animation and one documentary for a total amount of 8,296,000 Euros.

In the framework of the distribution support programme, Scheme I (Support for marketing and publicity costs), the Board decided to support 28 distributors for the distribution of 146 non- national European films in 11 countries (Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Spain, “The former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia”, France, Hungary, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Switzerland and Turkey). The total support granted represents €816 392.

In the framework of the Scheme II (Support for measures for fostering awareness of European Cinema), the Board of Management has granted it support to 3 innovative projects which will be launched in “The former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia”, Serbia and Turkey.

Since it was set up in 1988, EURIMAGES has supported 1602 European co-productions for a total amount of approximately 487 million euros.
