04/11/2013 - Spooks, The Last Word, Pulp, Hangar 10 and The Call-Up to be launched at Market

Altitude Film Sales has announced a slate of five new feature films to be launched at the American Film Market (November 6-13). Based on the BAFTA-winning television series, Spooks: The Greater Good is an espionage thriller produced by Shine Pictures (Eastern Promises [+see also:

film profile]) and Kudos (television’s Broadchurch). Set to shoot the first quarter of 2014, the film is to be directed by Bharat Nalluri (photo - Miss Pettigrew Lives For A Day [+see also:

The Last Word is a supernatural horror film directed by Simon Rumley (Red White & Blue). The producers are Eric Gores, Peter Facinelli and Rob DeFranco from A7sle and Frank Mancuso Jr. of Boss Media.  The film is currently in production and is set for a 2014 release.

Pulp looks at alternative rock band Pulp, front man Jarvis Cocker and their hometown, the city of Sheffield. Directed by Florian Habicht (Love Story), the film is produced by Alex Boden of Pistachio Pictures (Cloud Atlas [+see also:

film profile]) with Steve Milne from the British Film Company on board as Executive Producer. Soda Pictures will be releasing the film in the UK. Hopscotch eOne will be releasing in Australia/New Zealand.

Hangar 10 is a found-footage alien contact film directed by Daniel Simpson (Spiderhole). Recently completed, the producers are Laurie Cook and Jason Newmark of Bigscope Films, Will Clarke for Altitude, and Paul Higgins.

Winner of the 2011 Brit List, The Call-Up is the story of a group of online gamers invited to test out a state-of-the-art virtual reality simulation representing elite soldiers in a war zone, directed by acclaimed commercials director Charles Barker and produced by Matt Wilkinson of Stigma Films and John Giwa-Amu of Red And Black Films.
