Triple sale on US for The Yellow Affair

- Scandinavian sales agent The Yellow Affair has just inked deals with Japan, South Korea and Australia (TV) on the Swedish relationship drama US, which premiers at the Cannes Market

(photo), in which actors Gustav Skarsgård and Rebecca Ferguson play a dangerous game of sexual humiliation was picked up by Japan, South Korea and Australia (TV). The deals were announced in Cannes by Miira Paasilinna, managing director of Scandinavian sales outfit The Yellow Affair. The Sonet Film/ Café Cinema production was directed by Mani Maserrat from a script by Jens Jonsson (The King of Ping Pong [+see also:

). Currently on Swedish screens, US is on the Top 5 Films to watch in Sweden according to the Kritiker.se website.

The boutique sales outfit The Yellow Affair, which counts Mika Kaurismäki among its Nordic shareholders, has four other titles screening at the market. Johanna Vuoksenmaa’s Finnish hit 21 Ways to Ruin a Marriage (nearly 400,000 admissions); Maximilian Hult’s Swedish drama Home about a city slicker (Moa Gammel) landing in a small town where her life takes an unexpected turn, the Estonian 3D animation film Lisa Limone & Maroc Orange and the UK revenge thriller Wayland’s Song by Richard Jobson.

Paasilinna is also starting to promote in Cannes the Finnish drama Heart of a Lions by the internationally acclaimed Dome Karukoski (Lapland Odyssey [+see also:

) and her first Spanish language film Night Falls in India by Chema Rodriguez.
