) in her first leading role, portraying young Nina, Iñigo Aranburu, Mar Sodupe and Ramón Agirre.

In the words of the director, "the film is a thriller and a contemporary female western where past and present blend together in a story of revenge", as it tells how Nina (Patricia López Arnaiz), at the age of 45, decides to return to the seaside town where she grew up to take revenge on the man who ruined her life and to whom the town now pays homage. Reuniting with her town, with her memories of the past and with her childhood friend Blas (Íñigo Aranburu) will make her rethink if revenge is the only way forward.

"I was drawn to Andrea as a director when we saw Ana by Day, a feature film that was made with limited resources, but where you can note her unique vision. Then she told us about Nina, which mixes several genres and times, and I was fascinated by this amalgamation of tones. She has the perfect vision for such an ambitious yet personal project”, Álex Lafuente, of Bteam Prods told Cineuropa. "Andrea differs from other directors because she creates cinema where the genre is distinct, very cinematographic, universal and timeless. Our company is interested in cinema that reflects our society, but also in these other visions that are different from everything else, that have our identity, but with the codes of traditional cinema: Nina will be a classic film, but with an original, contemporary and very modern vision."

Nina has participated as a project in Torino Feature Lab, Spanish Film Academy Residencies, New Horizons Studio+, Atlántida Film Fest and Abycine Lanza, and will be shot over six weeks on location in Mundaka and Bermeo (Biscay).

The film is produced by Bteam Prods, Icónica, Irusoin and Lasai Producciones, with the participation of ETB, Movistar Plus+, Filmin and Vodafone TV, plus financing from ICAA, the Basque Government, the Community of Madrid and the Government of Navarre. Bteam Pictures will distribute the film in Spanish cinemas in 2024.
