The selection rustled up this year by Frédéric Boyer, the artistic director of the Les Arcs Film Festival, includes movies helmed by France’s Marie Losier, Germany’s Sabrina Sarabi and Ziska Riemann, Serbia’s Maša Neškovic, Italy’s Andrea Caccia, Spaniard Ibon Cormenzana, Belgium’s Lukas Dhont, Denmark’s Carl Marott, the Czech Republic’s Michal Hoguenauer, Finland’s Juha Lehtola, Ireland’s Ciaran Cassidy, the UK’s Jamie Jones, and Russia’s Natalia Meschaninova and Alexey Fedorchenko, not to mention a feature that sees Portugal’s Gabriel Abrantes and the UK’s Daniel Schmidt join forces.

A jury comprising Charles Tesson (artistic director of the Cannes Critics’ Week), Elad Samorzik (director of the Jerusalem International Film Festival) and Tamara Tatishvili (the Georgian representative of Eurimages) will hand out two awards. Eight films are in the running for the TitraFilm Award (€10,000 in image and/or audio post-production work), and the other seven (highlighted with an asterisk in the list below) for the Eurimages Award (which comes with €50,000 and is intended for groundbreaking projects in terms of their style, content and production aspects).

Here is the list of films selected for Work-in-Progress:
