Pascal Bonitzer

Born in Paris in 1946, Pascal Bonitzer is a capital character in the French modern and contemporary cinema. Whether as a film critic, writer, script writer or director, Bonitzer’s career has been mainly related to Jacques Rivette’s one. They have collaborated artistically in fundamental films like La bande des quatre (1989), La bella mentirosa (1991), Alto bajo frágil (1995), Histoire de Marie et Julien (2003), Ne touchez pas la hache (2007) and El último verano (2009). He has also worked as script writer for André Téchiné and Raúl Ruiz. His main films as director are Rien sur Robert (1999) and Petites coupures (2003), while as a critic, theorist and writer he has released some books like "Le champ aveugle" and "Excercice du scénario", the latter co-written with Jean-Claude Carrière.
