synopsis

The story of an Italian family stretching over the period from the end of the 1960s to the present day. The main characters are two brothers, Nicola and Matteo. They share the same hopes and dreams, they read the same books and have the same friends, but until they meet a mentally disturbed young girl it’s not possible to foresee their destinies: Nicola will decide to become a psychiatrist, and Matteo will leave his studies to join the police force.
