The actress is interviewed at the Shooting Star presentation in Berlin Film Festival in 2004
Irina Björklund was born in Sweden, grew up in Finland and France, and is currently a resident of the United States. She was trained at the Finnish Theatre Academy, and since her graduation in 1996 she has worked extensively in over thirty productions, as well as theatre and television in both Europe and the US. She has worked with Mika Kaurismäki in the lead role of his film, Honey Baby, as well as in Land Of Love directed by Ilkka Vanne and in The Third Wave, by Anders Nilsson.
At the end of the interview she mentions her favourite proverb, which says: "if you go to a country you should live in the way this country presents itself".
