The Portuguese actor Ângelo Torres, with a strong background in music, has worked in many feature films since his 1994 debut. These include Preto e Branco, by the director José Carlos Oliveira, Fado Blues by Luís Galvão Teles, and his more recent work on the big screen in Margarida Cardoso's The Murmuring Coast.
In the interview he explains his point of view on European Cinema. He believes that European cinema is mostly known for French, Italian, English and Spanish films, as a consequence of the lack of circulation of films in Europe. That explains why Portuguese productions are not known in Europe as European films are not known in Portugal.
