Michel Ocelot, French writer and director of animated films is interviewed during the 13th African Film Festival in Milan 2003.
Born in Africa, where he spent most of his childhood, Ocelot has directed a number of animated series and short films, as adaptations of African legends and folk tales. The director, invited to the Festival, talks about his magical African tale Kirikou et la Sorcière (1998) and Princes et princesses (2000). His first feature-length films, where with his silhouette-characters he reached a wider audience and establish his name.
