Shooting Stars at EFP

Nina Dögg Filippusdóttir began her career in 2000 in Ragnar Bragason’s Dramarama although she only came to the forefront of public attention after starring in Iceland’s most popular film of last year, Baltasar Kormàkur’s The Sea.

"I live in Iceland but there are people from all over the world living there. So we have so many stories to tell and we can work with actors from all around. And I think that's interesting and could produce some special energy in filmmaking when you get different people from different countries with different energies and backgrounds.
You know, my greatest dream... the director I would like to work with most is Mike Leigh. I love how he does films and how he works with and his relationship to the actors. 'Icelandic saying/speech' - 'It would be nice to have you seeing Icelandic films and our beautiful country.'"
