Italian director Dino Risi was interviewed during the 59th Venice Film Festival that took place in 2002, where he was awarded with the Lifetime Achievement Golden Lion.
Dino Risi, one of the "maestros" of Italian cinema, died in 2008 leaving behind him over 50 acclaimed films, including Poor But Beautiful, 15 From Rome, Torture Me But Kill Me With Kisses, The Easy Life and In the Name of the Italian People.
He worked with great actors, from Vittorio Gassman and Sophia Loren to Jean-Louis Trintignant, and in 1974 his Scent of a Woman won Risi two Oscar nominations.
