The Motovun Film Festival's 10th edition (Jul 28-Aug 1) coincides with 100 years of Russian film and therefore this year's Partner Country of the lauded Croatian event will be the largest nation in the world.

The anniversary was first marked by a week of Russian film in Zagreb (Jul 5-11), during which the ten most significant works since 1990 were presented. In Motovun, the programme will be dedicated to classics such as Vladimir Romashkov's Stenka, Sergei Eisenstein's Strike, Andrei Tarkovsky's Ivan's Childhood and Aleksei German's My Friend Ivan Lapshin.
