, follows on the heels of the successful reception of his first drama, Winter Brothers [+see also:

, which was screened in the Discovery section of the Toronto International Film Festival and won the prestigious Bodil Award for Best Danish Film in 2017. Pálmason has once again chosen to set his story in a remote Nordic village, where isolation and alienation reign supreme.

Here, an off-duty police chief starts to suspect a local man of having an affair with his wife, who recently died in a car accident. As he builds a house for his daughter and granddaughter, his obsession with finding out the truth intensifies, and inevitably begins to endanger both him and his entourage. Producer Anton Máni Svansson has described this film as a “mystery drama about deception, grief, sacrifice and unconditional love”. The lead role is played by famous Icelandic actor Ingvar E Sigurðsson, best known for his involvement in Friðrik Þór Friðriksson's Angels of the Universe and Baltasar Kormákur's Jar City [+see also:

) for Reykjavík-based firm Join Motion Pictures in co-operation with Katarina Krave for Film i Väst (Sweden), Katrin PorsEva Jakobsen and Mikkel Jersin for Snowglobe (Denmark), and Nima Yousefi for Hob AB (Sweden). The Icelandic Film Centre, the country’s film agency, has also awarded it a grant of €900,000 towards the overall budget of €2.3 million. The international sales agent has not been announced yet. Filming will be completed by the end of September 2018, and the premiere is scheduled for autumn 2019.
