, inspired by the best-selling novel El silencio de la ciudad blanca by Eva García Sáenz de Urturi, on Wednesday 1 August 2018. Judging by the synopsis provided by the film’s production companies, the plot unfolds in the city of Vitoria in 2016, following the discovery of the naked bodies of a boy and a girl, both aged twenty, in the crypt of the Old Cathedral. It is down to Unai López de Ayala (played by Javier Rey), a police inspector with expertise in criminal profiling, to hunt down the ritualistic killer who has been terrorising the local population for the last two decades. The relentless spate of crimes and a police investigation tainted by social media will push the detective to his limits — forcing him to confront a mercurial and merciless killer who might be closer than he thought.
