by Berni Goldblat (France/Burkina Faso/Qatar) as the winner of the 2018 EFA Young Audience Award.

Having watched the three nominated films (read news), more than 2,000 young cinema-lovers across Europe had the opportunity to discuss the films before electing their favourite to win the 2018 award. The results were then reported live via video conference to Erfurt (Germany) where German actress and comedian Gesa Dreckmann moderated the award ceremony. The ceremony was transmitted online as a live stream and will remain available as VOD on the website.

The YAA now also includes various platforms for the general public to watch the nominated films: EFA Productions, EFA's in-house production company, brings the EFA Young Audience Award films out Europe-wide on Video-on-Demand (T-VoD) platforms, like iTunes, Google Play, Microsoft and Pantaflix, on the regional Balkan-platform Cinesquare, as well as on local platforms like Filmin.

EFA Productions teamed up with Under The Milky Way for this initiative with the support of Creative Europe - Media Programme of the European Union, to make the nominated films available for young viewers all year around. Finally, those who could not participate in the EFA Young Audience Award event now have the possibility to watch the nominated films online. The three films nominated this year will go online today, on 7 May, together with some films nominated in earlier editions. Find out where to watch them at yaa.europeanfilmawards.eu.
