,” says Golino. “I’d had Euphoria in my mind for the last three years; it was inspired by dramatic true events that happened to people I love. For this reason, my screenwriters, Francesca MarcianoValia Santella, and I, with contributions from Walter Siti, approached the story with the requisite attention that such a delicate and precious subject deserves, but remaining fully aware that we were dealing with a powerful tale that was both charming and profound at the same time. A cast of clever, well-informed and generous actors contributed to further enriching the characters’ complexity.” Euphoria will be released in Italy in 2018 by 01 Distribution.
