The Orange Studio international sales department, which opened last autumn, is preparing for a fruitful first visit to the Film Market at the 71st Cannes Film Festival (8-19 May), as this will be its first year on the Croisette as a fully operational company. The team headed up by Andrei Kamarowsky (backed up by Émilie Serres) will be able to pin its hopes on two features accepted into two different Cannes selections: Little Tickles [+see also:

Branded by Edouard Waintrop, the General Delegate of the Fortnight, as “a Conradian adventure and war film”, To the Ends of the World stars Gaspard UllielGérard DepardieuGuillaume Gouix and Belgium’s Kevin Janssens. Written by the director together with Jérôme Beaujour, the story begins in Indochina in 1945. Robert Tassen, a young French soldier, is the sole survivor of a massacre in which his brother was murdered right before his eyes. Blinded by his thirst for revenge, Robert embarks on a solitary and secretive quest in search of the killers. But his encounter with Maï, a young Indochinese woman, will turn his beliefs on their head. The feature, which was produced by Les Films du Worso, will be distributed in France by Ad Vitam.

 by Marion Vernoux, starring Nicolas DuvauchelleAna Girardot and Béatrice Dalle. Produced by Les Films du Kiosque, the feature revolves around Piotr and Marilyn, a young suburban couple whose lives are suddenly shattered by a car accident. Suffering from a head trauma, Piotr is not in his right mind any more, though he still remains quite good-looking: he continually switches from apathetic to horny with an unbridled sex drive. For Marilyn, convinced that her love can save him, it is the beginning of a wild and unpredictable journey.

At the Film Market, Orange Studio will also be pressing on with pre-sales for Maya by Mia Hansen-Løve (see the article) and A Tramway in Jerusalem [+see also:
