, directed by Jan Jakub Kolski, is set in post-war Poland. The protagonists of the film are a married couple in their fifties, who travel across the country with the dead body of their son, a Home Army soldier persecuted and killed by the communist regime. They want to give him a proper burial, and as the journey progresses, they gradually deal with their grief. Grażyna Błecka-Kolska and Jan Jankowski play the leads. The story is based on Kolski’s family history: the director wrote the screenplay and produced the film through his own company, Wytwórnia Doświadczalna, together with Agnieszka Janowska and Paweł Kosuń, of Centrala. The co-producers are Jan Micola, of Czech outfit Mimesis Film, and Marek Urban, representing Slovakia’s Sentimentalfilm.
