, billed as "the first Albanian horror film", directed by Steven Kastrissios, an Australian actor and filmmaker of Greek descent, is heading to VoD platforms, including iTunes, Amazon Video, Google Play, Fetch, Xbox and PlayStation stores, with Vimeo offering the exclusive Digital Collector’s Edition, featuring the making-of documentary.

A follow-up to Kastrissios' acclaimed 2009 SXSW title The Horseman, Bloodlands has screened at festivals including Sitges, the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival, Bucheon IFFF, Frightfest Glasgow and Fantasporto, and won Best Actress for Suela Bako at Nashville FF, plus three awards at A Night of Horror Film Festival in Sydney.

The official synopsis reads: a traditional family struggle to make their way in modern Albania. The parents are under financial stress, while the teenage children wrestle with the traditional pathway set by their father. When a witch and her mysterious clan come to prey on the family, it leads to a violent confrontation that is all too familiar in the Balkans. A blood feud is declared and the family must unite to survive.
