Passaporte brings together Portuguese actors and international casting directors

The second edition of Passaporte (27-30 April) will attempt to forge links between Portuguese actors and international casting directors from the world of cinema and TV series. The aim is to increase the international appeal of Portuguese acting talent at an event organised by Portugal’s most renowned casting director, Patrícia Vasconcelos, with the support of the Academy of Portuguese Cinema.

Casting directors from international productions such as House of CardsBlade Runner and Versailles as well as professionals from England and Latin America will meet around 30 actors such as Nuno Lopes (Saint George [+see also:

Besides networking, the actors taking part will be involved in workshops and seminars, which include topics such as how to improve one’s showreels and self-tapes (images intended for a long-distance casting).

The first edition of Passaporte was held last year and saw actor Albano Jerónimo make a contact that led him to play a role in the fifth season of the Emmy-nominated TV series Vikings.
