Richard Loncraine has completed the London schedule on Finding Your Feet [+see also:

film profile], and the production now moves to Rome for its final week of principal photography. Written by debutant Meg Leonard and Nick Moorcroft (Urban Hymn), the film follows a middle-class, judgemental snob on the eve of retirement who discovers her husband has been having an affair with her best friend and is forced into exile with her bohemian sister, who lives on an impoverished inner-city council estate.

John Sachs and Andrew Berg are producing for Eclipse Films, Nick Moorcoft and Meg Leonard for Powder Keg Pictures, James Spring for Fred Films, and Charlotte Walls for Catalyst Global Media. The executive producers are Brian Berg, Lynne Berg, Graham Begg, John Stevens, Jay Firestone of Prodigy Pictures, Bob Benton of Bob & Co and Richard Whelan.
Richard Loncraine debuted in 1975 with Flame and, in a long and distinguished career, has won several awards. These include the Grand Prix des Amériques at the Montréal World Film Festival for Brimstone & Treacle (1982); BAFTA Best Film and Screenplay nominations for Richard III (1997); and a Prize of the Ecumenical Jury – Special Mention at Berlin for My One and Only (2009). He has also had a successful career in television, winning a Primetime Emmy for Band of Brothers (2001).
Loncraine said, “The London portion of the shoot has been a great success, and I’m enjoying it every bit as much as I enjoyed the script – a script that made me laugh and cry, often at the same time. I am genuinely thrilled to have taken this wonderful project from the page and onto the screen, where it belongs.”
Sachs and Berg, of Eclipse Films, said, “We are all incredibly proud to have got this very funny and moving film into production.
