Written by FJ Ossang in the spirit of film noir, the story starts at night in a town surprised by a flurry of snow and ice, in a station where all the trains are at a standstill. Magloire steps outside for a cigarette. Everything happens during a police check. He takes flight as he is, without bags or a future, and comes across a dying man. He finds a wad of cash whilst the former succumbs to death, but then the problems start: there’s a gang hot on his heels, which takes him hostage before working with him, as Magloire deals with things like someone who expects nothing from life.

Produced by Sébastien Haguenauer for 10:15 Productions and by OSS/100 Films & Documents (the director’s company), 9 Fingers (which won the Eurimages Co-production Development Award at the New Cinema Network in Rome in 2014) is being co-produced by CDP (Catherine Dussart Production) and Portuguese company O Som e a Fúria. Supported by an advance on receipts from the CNC, and the l'Instituto do Cinema et do Audiovisual (ICA), a fund providing support to Franco-Portuguese co-productions, Sofica Cinémage and the Aquitaine Limousin Poitou-Charentes region, the first round of filming took place between 6 and 21 June in Biarritz and Pau. Five more weeks of filming are set to start on 15 September in Portugal, with the film expected to be released in spring 2017. Distribution in France and international sales will be handled by Capricci Films.

Meanwhile, on 3 August, 10:15 Productions will be releasing My Revolution [+see also:

by Ramzi Ben Sliman (produced with Les Productions Balthazar and which will be distributed by Memento) in French theatres, the film having had its premiere in the Generation section at Berlin in February. The Parisian company is also currently working on developing two other feature films: Yalta by Erwan Le Duc (whose short film Le soldat vierge was shown in competition in Critics’ Week at Cannes this year) and Tuer le père by Marina Diaby (co-written by Ariane Fert), whose short film La fin du dragon was shown in competition in Critics’ Week at Cannes in 2015.
