The plot of Nieve negra, written by the director together with Leonel D’Agostino, introduces us to the reclusive and shady character of Salvador (Darín), who has been in exile in Patagonia ever since he was accused of doing away with his brother, whether by accident or not. His other brother, Marcos (Sbaraglia), goes to visit him with his partner, Laura (Costa), with the intention of settling matters of inheritance, which will reopen old wounds and rekindle their previous conflicts.

Produced on the Spanish side by A Contracorriente Films, Gloriamundi Producciones and Bowfinger International Pictures, SL, and by Argentinian outfit Pampa Films, Nieve negra has received support from the ICAA, and at the recent Cannes Film Market it was acquired for South American distribution by Buenavista Internacional
