Flemish Belgian films hit a new all-time record in 2015, with more than 150,000 (+7%) additional viewers compared to the previous record, which dated from 2010, when almost 2.1 million tickets were sold. At the time, people thought they had reached the ceiling. But compared to the 2.045 million admissions recorded in 2014, the latest figures are up by 10% (+205,000 viewers).

Despite a number of adverse external factors, such as the very mild autumn and the terrorist threat that resulted in a fall in overall attendance levels in cinemas, the year ended on a positive note for Flemish films.
