Produced by Olivier Kaempfer of Parkville Pictures alongside Film London and BBC Films, the film is one of the first in the UK to employ crowd-funding scheme, Kickstarter, for its theatrical release. Kaempfer set a target of £20,000 to collect in 30 days and managed to reach the number.

Kaempfer said, “We’ve been overwhelmed by the support Borrowed Time has received in reaching our funding goal on Kickstarter. We’re delighted that it now ensures a theatrical release for the film, and we’re very excited to be working with the dynamic team at High Point Media Group to take the film beyond that onto further platforms and territories.”

High Point’s Carey Fitzgerald said,  “We are hugely inspired by Olivier’s adventurous spirit and find it really chimes in with our own approach. In such a constantly shifting landscape, we are always looking out for exciting new innovators with whom we can share our expertise and we are delighted to be taking this exciting new journey with Parkville Pictures and Microwave.”
