Last days of shooting in Trentino for Giorgio Diritti’s new film, after 11 weeks of work in the Amazon (Brazil). Starring Jasmine Trinca (pictured) with Anne Alvaro, Pia Engleberth and Amanda Fonseca Galvao, the film (the title of which is still being finalised) tells the story of Augusta, a young Italian woman who goes to the Amazon to deal with some particularly painful personal events. She assists a nun in her work with the indigenous communities of the Alto Rio Andirà, which she then leaves in her wish to experience something which will respond to her need to regain a purpose in life. From her full contact with the wild nature of the Amazon forest and from her encounter with the small indios communities that live on the riverbanks, Augusta will look for a reconciliation with herself, the world and with God.
