Sweet Evil and Heartbreaker at Karlovy Vary

French production will be well represented at the 45th Karlovy Vary Film Festival which opens tomorrow. Films in competition include Olivier Coussemacq’s debut feature Sweet Evil [+see also:

The Czech festival will close on July 10 in romantic mood with Pascal Chaumeil’s Heartbreaker [+see also:

, a mainstream film of top quality thanks in particular to its cast (Romain Duris, Vanessa Paradis, François Damiens and Julie Ferrier). Still showing in France after 15 weeks on release (3.7m admissions in total), the film will be launched tomorrow in the United Kingdom (distribution: Revolver Entertainment) and Ireland. It is also scheduled for release on August 13 in Poland (Monolith), on September 10 in Spain (A Contracorriente Films under the title Los Seductores), on October 28 in Germany (Universum/Square One) and in the autumn in Italy (Lucky Red).
