Benoît Jacquot

Born in Paris in 1947, Benoît Jacquot began his career as an assistant director before making his directorial debut in 1975 with L’ASSASSIN MUSICIEN. He has often worked with Isabelle Huppert, Sandrine Kiberlain and Virginie Ledoyen and has also made a name for himself with his television dramas and documentaries. He attended the Berlinale’s Panorama section in 1996 with LA FILLE SEULE and in 2004 he directed Massenet’s opera Werther at the Royal Opera House in London. His latest project FAREWELL, MY QUEEN (LES ADIEUX A LA REINE) has been presented at the 2012 Berlinale. (Source : Berlin Film Festival)
