CHRISTMAS IN NEW YORK
by Neri Parenti
synopsis
Two stories intersect in the magical atmosphere of New York. In the first, Filippo Vessato, a young Italian surgeon about to be married in New York, is asked by his rigid department head, Dr. Benci, to take a Christmas gift to Benci's son Francesco, who is studying in the Big Apple. But once in New York, Filippo finds that the son does nothing but party, and the situation turns desperate when Dr. Benci makes a surprise visit... In the second story, Lillo is married to ultra-rich Milena, but under a prenuptial agreement that leaves him divorced and penniless if he cheats on her. For twenty years he resists all temptation, only to give in to Barbara, who also has an ultra-rich spouse and an identical prenuptial contract, making her the perfect lover. But then Barbara falls for Lillo to the point of wanting to frame her husband with his young lover.
