On the death of his stepfather, Aldo, an anchorman in crisis, inherits the farmhouse in the countryside where he spent most of his childhood. Depressed and waiting for an answer for the resumption of his old TV show, sends his young assistant Susy to deal with the paperwork. Susy reluctantly accepts and once there he will have to deal with a reality very different from how he had imagined it. The farmhouse is now a Country House managed by two factors, Ugo and Amalia, and five "madmen" who work the fields, the vineyards, look after the cattle and keep what it is a small but well equipped company: Casa Matta. The arrival of Susy and the probable sale of the farmhouse, will put them in fibrillation. And they will do everything to prevent this from happening.
