ON CHESIL BEACH

by Dominic Cooke

synopsis

On Chesil Beach tells the story of Florence (Saoirse Ronan) and Edward (Billy Howle), very much in love despite their different backgrounds. An intimate portrait of their honeymoon in 1962, with hopes and dreams for a future together. The story unfolds with great tenderness to show how, unbeknownst to them both, the decisions they make that summer will resonate throughout their lives.
