synopsis

A fortunate young man called Al is about to marry his boss’ daughter and take over as head of his car dealership. The evening after his stag party a drunken Al drives drunk and knocks down a stranger. But egged on by his two childhood friends in the car with him, he doesn’t stop. Over the following days, he is haunted by his cowardly actions. Meanwhile, a young woman named Juliette witnessed the accident from her balcony. At the hospital, she meets the victim’s wife, Vera, a Moldavian immigrant with no residency papers whom Juliette feels obliged to help.
