The MIDPOINT Series Launch activities taking place at a previous edition of Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event

The MIDPOINT Series Launch programme caters to writers, directors and producers aiming to enhance their series projects and connect with global industry influencers. At this edition, nine series projects and three development-executive participants have been chosen.

This year’s edition is steadily approaching its conclusion with the upcoming Season Finale, which is the workshop that it culminates in, as well as the pitching and networking event, an integral part of Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event, offering a valuable platform for industry networking. The third and final workshop commences on 9 November and runs until the 15th, with a primary emphasis on subjects such as marketing, promotion, distribution and pitch training.

On Tuesday 14 November, the presentation of the nine series projects will mark the conclusion of the entire programme. Also, the three development-executive participants will be introduced: this trio have played an integral role in the programme, supporting the projects throughout their development journey, and refining their script-editing and feedback skills. The pitching session is accessible to all accredited industry attendees at the event and will be available to live-stream. Professionals interested in connecting with the creators of these projects can schedule meetings through the festival's platform.

Alexandra Gabrižová, the programme coordinator, stated: “We could not be prouder to introduce the nine freshly baked, promising projects and three aspiring development executives to the world. These talented professionals from Central and Eastern Europe will present their series in development within the context of the TV Beats Forum, thanks to the long-term partnership with Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event.

“After eight months of training, MIDPOINT Series Launch participants have developed their ideas into the solid shape of a series bible, a script for the pilot episode, a three-pager and a teaser – all of these will be ready to share with professionals attending TV Beats and interested in cooperation. A huge shoutout goes to our core tutors, Gabor Krigler, Steve Matthews, Tatjana Samopjan, Christopher Haug, Marike Muselaers, Nebojsa Taraba and Agathe Berman, as well as our guest tutors, who have accompanied the participants throughout the whole process with professionality and care, as always.”
